Everyone Matters: How We Make the World Better

Most people think that to be important, you have to be super famous or really rich. But I think that’s wrong. I believe everyone can make a difference by getting good at something they like and helping others. This is better than trying to be perfect or famous. When we learn skills and help people, we become like little lights in the world, and that’s what life is really about.

I think when you find something you’re good at, it helps you feel better about yourself. Like, if you practice basketball a lot or learn to play guitar or get really good at math, you feel proud. My cousin got really good at drawing cartoon characters, and now she feels happy when she shows people her art. You don’t have to be the best in the world, you just have to try your best. My math teacher always says that everyone has something they can be good at. Some kids in my class are good at different things. Some are amazing at science projects, while others knows everything about history. They’re not famous or anything, but they’re really good at these things. When you practice something a lot, your brain makes connections and you get better. Scientists call this “building skills.” It feels good when you can do something better today than you could yesterday. Also, when you’re focused on getting better at something, you don’t worry so much about what other people think of you. Getting good at something makes you feel better about yourself, and then you can use those skills to help others and make the world better.

I believe that helping other people is what makes life worth living. We’re not just here to be famous or have a lot of money. We’re here to make the world a tiny bit better before we leave it. My grandma is a really good cook, and she makes food for people when they’re sick or sad. She’s not a professional chef or anything, but her cooking makes people feel better. When we use our skills to help other people, we connect with them. It’s like we’re all part of a big team trying to make things better. Even small things can make a big difference in someone’s day or life. Like when someone helps you with homework or says something nice when you’re feeling bad. Using your skills to help others makes both you and them feel good, and it makes the world a little bit better.

I think everyone is important in making the world better, not just famous people. It’s like we’re all little lights in a dark ocean, and together we make the world brighter. Think about all the people who make our lives better every day. Most of them aren’t famous, but without them, nothing would work right. History books mostly talk about famous people, but really, the world gets better because millions of regular people try to make things a little better every day. Like how people used to throw trash everywhere, but now most people recycle because everyone decided to try a little harder to keep the planet clean. When everyone does their part, even if it seems small, it adds up to big changes in the world.

So I think instead of worrying about being famous or perfect, we should try to find things we’re good at and use those skills to help others. That way, we become like little beacons of light in the world. And even though one light might seem small, when you put millions of lights together, it makes the whole world brighter. That’s what makes life meaningful, not being better than everyone else, but making things better for everyone else.
